It is an originally and typically furnished mountain hotel located in the middle of the Naturpark Südschwarzwald at the foot of the Feldberg. 

In the summer you have a beautiful hiking area right in front of your door and in the winter you are directly at the ski slopes or one of the countless cross-country ski runs that criss-cross the Feldberg area.

There is no shortage of worthwhile excursion targets, e.g. the Titisee and the Schluchsee, Freiburg with its historical old town and minster, Triberg with its waterfall, Lake Constance and the meeting point of three countries near Basel.
